Prologue in Five Novellas is the title of this year’s novel.
Set in a fictional twin-sunned solar system, these are five stories about five sets of characters from the system’s five inhabited planets. The stories not only stand alone but also are parts of one synergistic whole. Told completely from the aliens’ point of view, Prologue begins by revealing what an ancient species does when its planet pulled into the twin suns’ orbit and becomes uninhabitable. The story follows citizens from the other four planets as they are impacted by the event a millennium later.
